FAQs

How does your service work?

Every STI appointment begins with an STI Consultation. This is to ensure that your clinician understands your problem and is in the best place to help you. Following the consultation, any necessary tests and treatments can be administered.

How long does the appointment take?

STI appointments are approximately 30 minutes long, which includes time for any STI tests and treatment.

If you are just coming for a set STI Treatment, then appointments are 15 minutes long.

Who will I see?

All appointments are with sexual health specialists who have trained in the NHS. They are all on the GMC/NMC register.

Female patient will have the option of seeing a female clinician and/or have a female chaperone present.

Can I speak to my Clarewell clinician after my appointment?

Yes. A call back by the end of the day is available to our patients. Please note that any follow up visits in-person are charged as normal.

Do I need to bring anything to my appointment?

Unless there is some paperwork that you would like to show your clinician, then there is nothing else you need to bring.
